The difference between a classroom where students thrive
and one where they survive is craft.

I am more productive when I'm positive, and when I'm positive, productivity happens.

Positivity and productivity work together. Students engage when classrooms are active, joyful places, and teachers thrive when practical strategies free them to share the adventure of learning.

Four careers before teaching. One calling ever since.

Marie McGee's professional career evolved from accountant to business manager to human resource director to insurance producer before she found her calling as a teacher. That road gave her something most trainers don't have: she understands organizations, systems, and people from the business side and the classroom side, and it shows in training that is as practical as it is energizing.

She has spent 15 years in public education in Tennessee and Illinois, completing clinicals in both public and private education. Grades 3 through 6 are her strength, and science is her jam, her favorite elementary subject. As her school's Science Lead Teacher Trainer, she has trained many teachers and assisted with district science trainings.

I love to laugh and inspire kids about their future. I enjoy sharing adventures with my students in my classroom.

Marie is also a writer. She believes we all need to find the freedom in ourselves, a conviction that became the title of her first novel, Freedom In Me, published in 2015. Off the clock she skis, reads history, listens to live music, and spends time with family and friends.

Born in Mississippi and raised in Los Angeles and Chicago, Marie now lives in Cordova, Tennessee, where she delivers Time To Teach classroom management training and keynotes for K-12 schools and districts.
